CBI Registers FIR Against Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann's OSD; Mann Accuses BJP

The CBI has registered an FIR against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Rajbir Ghuman and other senior officials following a high court order. The court directed the probe after noting that material shared by the Enforcement Directorate prima facie disclosed cognisable offences related to alleged irregularities in transfers, policies, and tenders. The Punjab government plans to challenge the high court's order in the Supreme Court.

सीबीआई ने हाई कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान के ऑफिसर ऑन स्पेशल ड्यूटी (ओएसडी) राजबीर घुमन और अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज की है। कोर्ट ने प्रवर्तन निदेशालय द्वारा साझा की गई सामग्री में तबादलों, नीतियों और बोलियों में कथित अनियमितताओं से संबंधित संज्ञान लेने योग्य अपराधों का प्रथम दृष्टया खुलासा होने पर जांच का निर्देश दिया था। पंजाब सरकार हाई कोर्ट के आदेश को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चुनौती देने की योजना बना रही है।
