South Goa Collector Meets Parties On Polling Station Rationalisation Plan

South Goa Collector Egna Cleetus met with political party representatives on Thursday to discuss a proposal for rationalising polling stations across assembly constituencies. The meeting presented draft proposals for Ponda, Mormugao, Dabolim, Fatorda, Margao, and Benaulim, including deletion, shifting, and renaming of stations. Representatives raised no objections to the proposed changes. The plan, which includes specific station deletions and shifts in Mormugao and Margao, has now been forwarded to the Chief Electoral Officer for approval by the Election Commission of India.

दक्षिण गोवा की कलेक्टर एग्ना क्लीटस ने गुरुवार को राजनीतिक दलों के प्रतिनिधियों से विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में मतदान केंद्रों को युक्तिसंगत बनाने के प्रस्ताव पर चर्चा करने के लिए मुलाकात की। बैठक में पोंडा, मोरमुगाओ, डाबोलिम, फतोर्डा, मडगांव और बेनाउलिम के लिए मसौदा प्रस्ताव प्रस्तुत किए गए, जिसमें मतदान केंद्रों को हटाना, स्थानांतरित करना और उनका नाम बदलना शामिल है। प्रतिनिधियों ने प्रस्तावित परिवर्तनों पर कोई आपत्ति नहीं जताई। मोरमुगाओ और मडगांव में विशिष्ट मतदान केंद्र हटाने और स्थानांतरण को शामिल करने वाली इस योजना को अब भारत के चुनाव आयोग द्वारा अनुमोदन के लिए मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी को भेज दिया गया है।
