Delhi Pedestrian Deaths Rise to 524 by October 15

Delhi has reported 524 pedestrian deaths due to road accidents up to October 15 this year, according to Delhi Traffic Police data. Unknown vehicles were responsible for 262 fatalities, while private cars caused 69 deaths and motorcycles/scooters accounted for 56. In total, 519 fatal crashes involving pedestrians occurred during this period. The city also witnessed 1,322 non-fatal accidents involving pedestrians, injuring 1,518 people. The traffic police are analyzing accident data to identify hotspots and implement preventive measures.

दिल्ली ट्रैफिक पुलिस के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, इस साल 15 अक्टूबर तक सड़क हादसों में 524 पैदल चलने वालों की मौत हो चुकी है। इनमें से 262 मौतें अज्ञात वाहनों के कारण हुईं, जबकि निजी कारों से 69 और मोटरसाइकिल/स्कूटर से 56 मौतें हुईं। इस अवधि में कुल 519 ऐसे हादसे हुए जिनमें पैदल चलने वाले शामिल थे। शहर में पैदल चलने वालों से जुड़े 1,322 गैर-घातक हादसे भी हुए, जिनमें 1,518 लोग घायल हुए। ट्रैफिक पुलिस दुर्घटनाओं के हॉटस्पॉट की पहचान करने और रोकथाम के उपाय लागू करने के लिए दुर्घटना डेटा का विश्लेषण कर रही है।
