Vice-President: Compassion Needed Over Technology

Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan stated that humanity requires compassionate advancement more than technological progress to tackle global challenges like humanitarian crises and environmental degradation. Speaking at Mata Amritanandamayi Devi’s birthday celebrations, he emphasized that while India progresses towards Viksit Bharat, development must retain a human face and align with civilisational values. He highlighted Mata Amritanandamayi’s exemplary humanitarian work in addressing both material and inner poverty. The event also saw significant financial aid distributed for flood relief and to families affected by tragedies.

उपराष्ट्रपति सी पी राधाकृष्णन ने कहा कि दुनिया की मुश्किलों, जैसे कि इंसानी संकट और पर्यावरण की बर्बादी, से निपटने के लिए हमें तकनीकी तरक्की से ज़्यादा इंसानी करुणा की ज़रूरत है। उन्होंने माता अमृतानंदमयी देवी के जन्मदिन समारोह में कहा कि भारत विकसित भारत की ओर बढ़ रहा है, लेकिन विकास में इंसानियत और हमारी पुरानी सोच का ध्यान रखना चाहिए। उन्होंने बताया कि माता अमृतानंदमयी ने बाहरी और अंदरूनी गरीबी दूर करने में बहुत अच्छा काम किया है। इस मौके पर बाढ़ राहत और दुखद घटनाओं से पीड़ित परिवारों को बड़ी आर्थिक मदद भी दी गई।
