Logitech Begins Product Manufacturing in India, Supports 'Make in India'

Global technology company Logitech has commenced local manufacturing in India with a facility in Manesar, adding to its existing R&D and development presence in Chennai. This move supports the 'Make in India' initiative and will initially focus on high-volume products like keyboards and webcams. The company plans to scale up component localisation and eventually export from India. Logitech stated that while this enhances operational agility and supply chain resilience, no significant immediate price changes are expected for products sold domestically.

दुनिया भर में जानी जाने वाली टेक्नोलॉजी कंपनी Logitech ने भारत में अपना लोकल मैन्युफैक्चरिंग शुरू कर दिया है। यह प्लांट मानेसर में है और कंपनी का चेन्नई में पहले से ही R&D और डेवलपमेंट सेंटर है। यह कदम 'मेक इन इंडिया' पहल को बढ़ावा देगा और शुरुआत में कीबोर्ड और वेबकैम जैसे ज्यादा बिकने वाले प्रोडक्ट्स पर ध्यान देगा। कंपनी का प्लान है कि वह कंपोनेंट्स की लोकल सोर्सिंग बढ़ाए और बाद में भारत से एक्सपोर्ट भी करे। Logitech ने कहा कि इससे ऑपरेशनल फ्लेक्सिबिलिटी और सप्लाई चेन मजबूत होगी, लेकिन घरेलू बाजार में बिकने वाले प्रोडक्ट्स की कीमतों में तुरंत कोई बड़ा बदलाव आने की उम्मीद नहीं है।
