HC Upholds Will For Adopted Daughter in Property

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has upheld a second Will favouring an adopted daughter in a property dispute over a six-room house in Ludhiana. The original owner had revoked a Will favouring her sister and later adopted her sister's daughter. The court ruled the property passed to the adopted daughter under the Will, not intestate succession rules. The younger sister has challenged this ruling before the Supreme Court, and the decision is pending.

हाई कोर्ट ने गोद ली बेटी के हक में वसीयत को बरकरार रखा

पंजाब और हरियाणा हाई कोर्ट ने लुधियाना में छह कमरों वाले घर के प्रॉपर्टी विवाद में गोद ली हुई बेटी के पक्ष में दूसरे वसीयतनामे को बरकरार रखा है। मूल मालिक ने अपनी बहन के पक्ष वाली वसीयत रद्द कर दी थी और बाद में अपनी बहन की बेटी को गोद ले लिया था। कोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया कि प्रॉपर्टी वसीयत के तहत गोद ली हुई बेटी को मिलेगी, न कि बिना वसीयत के उत्तराधिकार नियमों के तहत।
