Opposition Leaders Detained by Delhi Police During Protest March

Members of the INDIA bloc were detained by Delhi Police on Wednesday while attempting to march towards Jantar Mantar to protest and demand the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar. Rahul Gandhi stated the opposition would not stop protesting until Kumar resigns. Over 90 individuals, including MPs and workers, were detained near Shangri-La hotel and later released. The Congress party declared it a black day for Indian democracy and plans larger demonstrations. Police cited restrictions under Section 163 of BNSS, prohibiting protests without permission in the New Delhi area.
