Depressed Man Hangs Self in Meerut After Texting Sister

A 30-year-old man allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself at his uncle's residence in Meerut early on Thursday morning. Before taking the extreme step, he sent a WhatsApp message to his sister detailing his intentions, but the message went unnoticed for several hours. The man had been suffering from depression following a divorce about 1.5 years ago after a love marriage. He had recently returned from Delhi, where he had moved for work, to visit his uncle. Police have registered a case and are awaiting the post-mortem report.

मेरठ में गुरुवार की सुबह एक 30 साल के आदमी ने कथित तौर पर अपने चाचा के घर में फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। यह बड़ा कदम उठाने से पहले, उसने अपनी बहन को WhatsApp पर एक मैसेज भेजा था जिसमें उसने अपने इरादे बताए थे, लेकिन यह मैसेज कई घंटों तक किसी की नज़र में नहीं आया। यह आदमी करीब 1.5 साल पहले लव मैरिज के बाद हुए तलाक के बाद से डिप्रेशन से जूझ रहा था। वह हाल ही में दिल्ली से लौटा था, जहाँ वह काम के लिए गया था, अपने चाचा से मिलने आया था। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट का इंतज़ार कर रही है।
