Bihar Education Dept Salaries To Be Scrutinised After Irregularities Flagged

Bihar's education department has been ordered to scrutinise the salaries and allowances of all its officers, teachers, and staff before next month's payments. This directive follows the detection of irregularities in salary processing, as flagged by the CAG. The move, initiated by the Finance Department, could delay payments for many employees. Disciplinary and administrative action will be taken against those found responsible for errors, and excess payments will be recovered. The department employs over six lakh personnel across the state.

बिहार के शिक्षा विभाग को अगले महीने भुगतान से पहले अपने सभी अधिकारियों, शिक्षकों और कर्मचारियों के वेतन और भत्तों की जांच करने का आदेश दिया गया है। यह निर्देश CAG द्वारा बताई गई वेतन प्रक्रिया में अनियमितताओं का पता चलने के बाद आया है। वित्त विभाग द्वारा शुरू की गई इस पहल से कई कर्मचारियों के भुगतान में देरी हो सकती है। गलतियों के लिए जिम्मेदार पाए जाने वालों के खिलाफ अनुशासनात्मक और प्रशासनिक कार्रवाई की जाएगी, और अतिरिक्त भुगतान की वसूली की जाएगी। विभाग में राज्य भर में छह लाख से अधिक कर्मचारी कार्यरत हैं।
