A medical transfer aircraft carrying six people has disappeared off the US coast after losing contact while flying from Bermuda to Boston. The Gulfstream G100 took off from Bermuda's L F Wade International Airport early Saturday, October 3, and was scheduled to land in Boston at 1:25 am ET. Before losing radar contact, the aircraft experienced a rapid altitude drop from 23,500 feet to 11,000 feet. The US Coast Guard has launched an extensive air and sea search near Nantucket.
