Lucknow University Launches QR-Based Digital ID Cards For Students

Lucknow University has introduced QR code-based digital ID cards for 21,268 students admitted in the 2026-27 academic session, making them accessible via the Centre’s DigiLocker platform. This initiative aims to streamline student services and reduce administrative paperwork, eliminating the need for students to collect physical cards. The university claims to be the first state university to offer digital IDs on such a large scale through DigiLocker. Newly admitted students across various programs can now access their digital cards on their smartphones by logging into DigiLocker.

लखनऊ यूनिवर्सिटी ने 2026-27 शैक्षणिक सत्र में प्रवेश लेने वाले 21,268 छात्रों के लिए क्यूआर कोड-आधारित डिजिटल आईडी कार्ड पेश किए हैं, जो केंद्र के DigiLocker प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से सुलभ होंगे। इस पहल का उद्देश्य छात्र सेवाओं को सुव्यवस्थित करना और प्रशासनिक कागजी कार्रवाई को कम करना है, जिससे छात्रों को भौतिक कार्ड एकत्र करने की आवश्यकता समाप्त हो जाएगी। यूनिवर्सिटी का दावा है कि वह DigiLocker के माध्यम से इतने बड़े पैमाने पर डिजिटल आईडी की पेशकश करने वाला पहला राज्य विश्वविद्यालय है। विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों में नए प्रवेश लेने वाले छात्र अब DigiLocker में लॉग इन करके अपने स्मार्टफोन पर अपने डिजिटल कार्ड तक पहुंच सकते हैं।
