While the current site offers connectivity, congestion is a drawback. Any new location should avoid worsening Chennai's traffic and pollution. Instead, the state should consider creating a compact, vertical, and climate-resilient satellite city near Chennai, anchored by government offices. This could stimulate economic growth and free up valuable beachfront land for redevelopment, while fast shuttle services would connect it to the city.
