Tesla Sales Surge 72.5% in Europe Amidst Growing Chinese Competition

Tesla's new car registrations in Europe, the UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland surged by 72.5% to 68,776 units in September. This significant growth, up from a mere 4% increase in August, indicates Tesla is gaining traction despite strong competition from Chinese automakers like BYD and SAIC Motor. While Chinese brands saw substantial registration increases, established European manufacturers like Volkswagen and Renault experienced sales declines. Tesla's growth coincides with its efforts to gain EU approval for its full self-driving technology, which has already been recognized in several member states.

सितंबर में यूरोप, यूके, आइसलैंड, लिकटेंस्टीन, नॉर्वे और स्विट्जरलैंड में टेस्ला की नई कार रजिस्ट्रेशन 72.5% बढ़कर 68,776 यूनिट हो गई। अगस्त में सिर्फ 4% की वृद्धि की तुलना में यह एक बड़ी बढ़ोतरी है, जो बताती है कि BYD और SAIC Motor जैसे चीनी ऑटोमेकर्स से कड़ी प्रतिस्पर्धा के बावजूद टेस्ला आगे बढ़ रही है। जहाँ चीनी ब्रांडों के रजिस्ट्रेशन में काफी वृद्धि हुई, वहीं वोक्सवैगन और रेनॉल्ट जैसे यूरोपीय निर्माताओं की बिक्री में गिरावट आई। टेस्ला की यह वृद्धि यूरोपीय संघ से अपनी फुल सेल्फ-ड्राइविंग तकनीक के लिए मंजूरी हासिल करने के प्रयासों के साथ मेल खाती है, जिसे पहले से ही कई सदस्य देशों में मान्यता मिल चुकी है।
