Keralam Assembly Speaker Defends UDF Stand on KIIFB

Keralam Assembly Speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan defended the UDF administration's stance on the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). He stated that a new government may implement its own policies, differing from the previous administration. This comes after an expert panel recommended ending KIIFB's role as a separate financing body, questioning its financial model. The Chief Minister had previously flagged financial irregularities and liabilities within KIIFB, alleging misuse of funds for land acquisition.

केरलम विधानसभा अध्यक्ष थिरुवनचूर राधाकृष्णन ने केरल इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर इन्वेस्टमेंट फंड बोर्ड (KIIFB) पर UDF प्रशासन के रुख का बचाव किया। उन्होंने कहा कि नई सरकार पिछली सरकार से अलग अपनी नीतियां लागू कर सकती है। यह एक विशेषज्ञ पैनल की सिफारिश के बाद आया है जिसमें KIIFB की भूमिका को एक अलग वित्तपोषण निकाय के रूप में समाप्त करने की सिफारिश की गई थी, और इसके वित्तीय मॉडल पर सवाल उठाए गए थे। मुख्यमंत्री ने पहले KIIFB के भीतर वित्तीय अनियमितताओं और देनदारियों को उजागर किया था, और भूमि अधिग्रहण के लिए धन के दुरुपयोग का आरोप लगाया था।
