Uttar Pradesh Announces Diwali Bonus For 14.5 Lakh Employees

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a Diwali bonus for approximately 14.5 lakh employees for the 2025-26 fiscal year. Eligible non-gazetted state government employees, staff of aided institutions, local bodies, and daily-wage workers will receive an amount equivalent to 30 days' emoluments, capped at Rs 6,908. This decision follows a similar announcement by the central government for its employees. The bonus aims to provide financial relief during the festive season. Seventy-five percent of the bonus will be deposited into Provident Fund accounts, with the remainder paid in cash.

उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने 2025-26 वित्तीय वर्ष के लिए लगभग 14.5 लाख कर्मचारियों के लिए दिवाली बोनस की घोषणा की है। पात्र राजपत्रित राज्य सरकार के कर्मचारी, सहायता प्राप्त संस्थानों के कर्मचारी, स्थानीय निकाय और दैनिक-मजदूरी वाले श्रमिकों को 30 दिनों के वेतन के बराबर राशि मिलेगी, जो 6,908 रुपये तक सीमित है। यह निर्णय केंद्र सरकार द्वारा अपने कर्मचारियों के लिए इसी तरह की घोषणा के बाद आया है। बोनस का उद्देश्य त्योहारी सीजन के दौरान वित्तीय राहत प्रदान करना है। बोनस का पचहत्तर प्रतिशत भविष्य निधि खातों में जमा किया जाएगा, और शेष नकद में भुगतान किया जाएगा।
