Punjab Logs 154 Immigration Cases, Zero Prosecutions

Punjab recorded 154 cases of immigration fraud over three years, yet no prosecutions have been initiated. The Ministry of External Affairs informed Lok Sabha that complaints against illegal immigration agents rose significantly, with 80 in 2025, up from 18 in 2024 and 56 in 2023. This alarming trend highlights a critical gap in addressing fraudulent immigration practices and protecting citizens from exploitation by agents.

पिछले तीन सालों में पंजाब में इमिग्रेशन फ्रॉड के 154 मामले सामने आए, लेकिन किसी पर भी केस दर्ज नहीं हुआ। विदेश मंत्रालय ने लोकसभा को बताया कि गैरकानूनी इमिग्रेशन एजेंटों के खिलाफ शिकायतें बढ़ी हैं। 2025 में 80 शिकायतें आईं, जबकि 2024 में 18 और 2023 में 56 थीं। यह चिंताजनक स्थिति धोखाधड़ी रोकने और लोगों को एजेंटों के शोषण से बचाने में बड़ी कमी दिखाती है।
