Floods Impact 50,000 in Faizullaganj; LMC Plans 12-Day Cleanup

Flooding across an eight-kilometre stretch of Faizullaganj has affected approximately 50,000 people residing in 6,500 homes. The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) is initiating a 10-12-day sanitation drive as waters recede to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases and infections. State minister Suresh Khanna inspected the affected areas, directing officials to expedite drainage and ensure safe drinking water, sanitation, and essential supplies for families. Long-term solutions, including a river embankment, are also being considered to prevent future occurrences.

फैजुल्लागंज में आठ किलोमीटर के इलाके में आई बाढ़ से 6,500 घरों में रहने वाले करीब 50,000 लोग प्रभावित हुए हैं। लखनऊ म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन (LMC) पानी उतरने के बाद जलजनित बीमारियों और संक्रमण को फैलने से रोकने के लिए 10-12 दिन का स्वच्छता अभियान शुरू कर रही है। राज्य मंत्री सुरेश खन्ना ने प्रभावित इलाकों का निरीक्षण किया और अधिकारियों को जल निकासी में तेजी लाने और परिवारों के लिए सुरक्षित पेयजल, स्वच्छता और आवश्यक आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया। भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं को रोकने के लिए नदी तटबंध सहित दीर्घकालिक समाधानों पर भी विचार किया जा रहा है।
