Iran has stated that the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen until the United States fulfills seven conditions outlined in a June memorandum of understanding. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized Iran's firm stance, warning against diplomatic delays or unilateral demands from Washington. While Iran has communicated its broad response through Qatari intermediaries, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei clarified that immediate focus remains on the Strait and waterway security, not nuclear discussions. Iran also warned of military preparedness if the US resumes action.
