SC Clarifies Order on DM Medha Rupam NSA

The apex court stated that the stay was only on specific parts of the High Court's order, not the entire ruling. The stay applies to the directive for DM Medha Rupam to pay ₹5 lakh compensation to student Akriti Chaudhary and comments against her. However, the order to cancel the NSA against the student remains unaffected.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मेधा रूपम केस में इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट के फैसले पर अपने पहले के आदेश को साफ किया है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि स्टे हाई कोर्ट के पूरे फैसले पर नहीं, बल्कि सिर्फ कुछ खास हिस्सों पर था। यह स्टे DM मेधा रूपम को छात्रा आकृति चौधरी को 5 लाख रुपये मुआवजा देने और उनके खिलाफ की गई टिप्पणियों पर लागू होता है। हालांकि, छात्रा के खिलाफ NSA रद्द करने का आदेश पहले जैसा ही रहेगा।
