Delhi HC Asks CBSE to Respond on Calculator Use in Class 12 Exams

The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the CBSE seeking its response on a petition demanding permission for students to use simple, non-programmable calculators during Class 12 board exams. The court has also requested responses from the central government, NCERT, and PARAKH. The petitioner argues that calculators would save students valuable time on complex calculations, allowing them to focus on core concepts.

दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने CBSE को नोटिस जारी कर एक याचिका पर जवाब मांगा है। याचिका में छात्रों को कक्षा 12 की बोर्ड परीक्षाओं के दौरान साधारण, नॉन-प्रोग्रामेबल कैलकुलेटर इस्तेमाल करने की इजाजत देने की मांग की गई है। कोर्ट ने केंद्र सरकार, NCERT और PARAKH से भी जवाब मांगा है। याचिकाकर्ता का तर्क है कि कैलकुलेटर से छात्रों का जटिल गणनाओं में कीमती समय बचेगा, जिससे वे मुख्य अवधारणाओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित कर सकेंगे।
