Ankita Bhandari Murder: Uttarakhand Congress Protests, Leaders Detained

The Uttarakhand Congress staged a protest outside the Lok Bhawan demanding the appointment of Dushyant Kumar Gautam as Sikkim governor be put on hold. This demand is linked to the ongoing probe into the Ankita Bhandari murder case. Several senior Congress leaders, including former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, were among approximately 50 people detained by the police. The protest occurred a day after Rahul Gandhi met Ankita Bhandari's parents, who were also protesting for justice. Ankita Bhandari was murdered in September 2022.

अंकिता भंडारी हत्याकांड: उत्तराखंड कांग्रेस का विरोध प्रदर्शन, नेताओं को हिरासत में लिया गया

उत्तराखंड कांग्रेस ने सिक्किम के राज्यपाल के तौर पर दुष्यंत कुमार गौतम की नियुक्ति पर रोक लगाने की मांग को लेकर लोक भवन के बाहर विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। यह मांग अंकिता भंडारी हत्याकांड की चल रही जांच से जुड़ी है। पुलिस ने पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हरीश रावत सहित लगभग 50 कांग्रेस नेताओं को हिरासत में लिया। यह विरोध प्रदर्शन राहुल गांधी द्वारा अंकिता भंडारी के माता-पिता से मिलने के एक दिन बाद हुआ, जो न्याय के लिए विरोध कर रहे थे। अंकिता भंडारी की हत्या सितंबर 2022 में हुई थी।
