Uttar Pradesh Hotels Must Now Mention Oil Type in Menu

Uttar Pradesh's food safety department has mandated that hotels and restaurants must now specify the type of oil used in dishes on their menus. This new regulation is part of broader quality control measures aimed at ensuring consumers receive quality food products. Businesses with central licenses or operating ten or more outlets will be required to comply. The updated menus must also indicate vegetarian/non-vegetarian symbols, artificial sweeteners, colors, and allergen information.

उत्तर प्रदेश के खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग ने यह अनिवार्य कर दिया है कि होटल और रेस्तरां को अब अपने मेन्यू में पकवानों में इस्तेमाल होने वाले तेल का प्रकार बताना होगा। यह नया नियम गुणवत्ता नियंत्रण के व्यापक उपायों का हिस्सा है जिसका उद्देश्य उपभोक्ताओं को गुणवत्तापूर्ण खाद्य उत्पाद सुनिश्चित करना है। केंद्रीय लाइसेंस वाले या दस या अधिक आउटलेट चलाने वाले व्यवसायों को इसका पालन करना होगा। अपडेटेड मेन्यू में शाकाहारी/मांसाहारी प्रतीक, कृत्रिम मिठास, रंग और एलर्जी की जानकारी भी बतानी होगी।
