Civil Supplies Officials Seize One Tonne of PDS Rice in Ranipet

Civil Supplies officials in Ranipet have seized one tonne of rice intended for the Public Distribution System (PDS). The seizure occurred at the Arakkonam railway station following a surprise check. Special teams were formed to prevent the smuggling of PDS rice in the district, as per orders from Collector N. Priya Ravichandran. CCTV footage revealed a group loading the rice sacks onto a train. A case has been registered, and a probe is underway to apprehend the escaped suspects.

रानिपेट में नागरिक आपूर्ति अधिकारियों ने पब्लिक डिस्ट्रिब्यूशन सिस्टम (PDS) के लिए एक टन चावल जब्त किया है। यह जब्ती अरक्कोनम रेलवे स्टेशन पर एक औचक जांच के बाद हुई। कलेक्टर एन. प्रिया रविचंद्रन के आदेश के अनुसार, जिले में पीडीएस चावल की तस्करी को रोकने के लिए विशेष टीमों का गठन किया गया था। सीसीटीवी फुटेज में एक समूह को चावल के बोरों को ट्रेन में लादते हुए दिखाया गया है। मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है और फरार संदिग्धों को पकड़ने के लिए जांच चल रही है।
