Kerala Health Minister Assures No Medicine Shortages

Kerala Health Minister K. Muraleedharan stated that government hospitals in the state will not face medicine shortages. Pharma firms have been urged to expedite drug distribution. Local purchases will be made through Karunya outlets if needed. Despite delays due to election code of conduct and West Asia war impacting distribution, purchase orders for 664 of 855 essential medicines have been issued. 530 medicines have already arrived, with more expected by September end.
