Bangladesh Seeks Saudi Answers on Execution of Citizens

Bangladesh has formally requested detailed information from Saudi Arabia regarding the execution of two Bangladeshi nationals in the Makkah region. The consulate in Jeddah sent a diplomatic letter seeking specifics on charges, court verdicts, the method of execution, and whether the individuals had legal representation. The pair were executed on October 14 after being convicted of an "indecent act" inside a mosque. Dhaka is also seeking clarification on discrepancies between a prisoner list and the official explanation for the executions, and information on 20 other convicted citizens.
