पटना हाई कोर्ट ने रेप की कोशिश और गलत तरीके से बंधक बनाने के मामले में दोषी ठहराए गए एक शख्स को बरी कर दिया है। जजों ने कहा कि सिर्फ महिला की सलवार उतारना और सीने को दबाना, बिना किसी और सबूत के, भारतीय कानून के तहत रेप की कोशिश नहीं माना जा सकता। कोर्ट ने मेडिकल रिपोर्ट की कमी और गंभीर आरोप के लिए पर्याप्त सबूत न होने पर जोर दिया।
