Mumbai Court Grants Bail To Ex-Bank Manager In Rs 29.83 Lakh Fraud Case

A Mumbai court has granted bail to Rahul Punjwani, the former manager of a private bank's Chowpatty branch, in a case involving alleged fraud of Rs 29.83 lakh. The fraud reportedly involved the fraudulent alteration of mobile numbers and email IDs linked to accounts of deceased customers. Punjwani was arrested along with another employee. The court observed that the evidence was documentary and Punjwani's detention was not necessary for the investigation. He was granted bail on a personal bond and surety of ₹1 lakh.

मुंबई की एक अदालत ने एक प्राइवेट बैंक की चौपाटी ब्रांच के पूर्व मैनेजर राहुल पुंजवानी को ₹29.83 लाख की कथित धोखाधड़ी के मामले में जमानत दे दी है। यह धोखाधड़ी कथित तौर पर मृत ग्राहकों के खातों से जुड़े मोबाइल नंबर और ईमेल आईडी में हेरफेर करके की गई थी। पुंजवानी को एक अन्य कर्मचारी के साथ गिरफ्तार किया गया था। अदालत ने कहा कि सबूत दस्तावेजी थे और जांच के लिए पुंजवानी की हिरासत जरूरी नहीं थी। उन्हें ₹1 लाख के निजी मुचलके और जमानत पर रिहा किया गया है।
