CBI Arrests UP Gramin Bank Officer, Sweeper

The CBI's Anti-Corruption Branch in Lucknow has arrested two employees of Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank in Sultanpur district. Field officer Anurag Singh and sweeper Rashid were apprehended in connection with an alleged bribery case involving a ₹1.15 lakh fish farming loan. The duo reportedly demanded ₹5,000 from a borrower for processing his loan application. The CBI caught Anurag Singh accepting the bribe during a raid at the bank's Velware branch. Both accused have been booked for criminal conspiracy and demanding an undue advantage.
