A 52-year-old retired Army captain, identified as Babu, has been arrested in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, for allegedly sharing sensitive military information with a suspected Pakistani intelligence operative. Babu, who served 28 years in the artillery wing before retiring in 2022, reportedly communicated with the operative via WhatsApp and other social media platforms for about a year. Central agencies provided input leading to his arrest by Kaniyambadi police. Mobile phones, SIM cards, and documents related to the alleged leak were recovered, and a probe is currently underway.
