The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has installed blinkers and LED poles at a 'black spot' near Ambur on the Chennai–Bengaluru National Highway (NH 48). This action follows an accident where a container lorry hit a school bus, injuring four students and the driver. These measures aim to reduce vehicle speed at the accident-prone Vadaputhupatti junction. The NHAI is also addressing other black spots in Tirupattur district, where 98 pedestrians have.
