Prostate Cancer Screening Lacking Among Indian Men Over 45, Survey Reveals
News18 Hindi · india
A recent national survey involving 1,036 men aged 45 and above has revealed a significant lack of awareness and screening for prostate cancer in India. Astonishingly, 84% of men are either unscreened, uncertain about their screening status, or believe screening isn't necessary. The study, conducted across Delhi NCR, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra, found that most men could not identify a single risk factor for prostate cancer. This highlights a critical gap in understanding prostate health among the male population, necessitating increased awareness and proactive health discussions.
