Delhi Police Bans Protests At Jantar Mantar, Designates New Sites

Delhi Police have issued new guidelines regarding protest locations, revoking permission for demonstrations at Jantar Mantar. Instead, Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground, and the CBD Ground in East Delhi have been designated as official protest sites. These changes follow recommendations from a Home Ministry committee, amending the 2022 standing order. Permission for protests at the new locations will be granted only under specific conditions and guidelines. The police have explicitly stated that no further permissions will be issued for Jantar Mantar.
