Bihar Constable Shoots Himself At Police Station Premises

A 32-year-old constable, Sameer Kumar, died by suicide on Sunday morning at the Sadar (Town) police station in Kishanganj, Bihar. He allegedly used his service weapon to shoot himself after a phone call with his wife. Fellow constables reported he had seemed disturbed and had disputes with his wife. An FSL team examined the scene, and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. Kumar was a resident of Bhagalpur district and had been posted in Kishanganj for about six months.

बिहार के किशनगंज में सदर (टाउन) पुलिस स्टेशन में रविवार सुबह 32 वर्षीय कांस्टेबल समीर कुमार ने आत्महत्या कर ली। उन्होंने कथित तौर पर अपनी पत्नी से फोन पर बात करने के बाद अपनी सर्विस राइफल से खुद को गोली मार ली। साथी कांस्टेबल ने बताया कि वह परेशान लग रहे थे और उनकी पत्नी से अनबन चल रही थी। एफएसएल टीम ने घटनास्थल का मुआयना किया और पुलिस मौत के कारणों की जांच कर रही है। कुमार भागलपुर जिले के रहने वाले थे और करीब छह महीने से किशनगंज में तैनात थे।
