NHB is seeking an audit firm to examine loan accounts, borrower existence, and the use of funds, including checking customer records and disbursement details. The audit will also scrutinize loan origination and accounting systems for any alterations or backdating of records. This investigation follows earlier concerns about suspected fictitious loans worth ₹300-400 crore, potentially impacting a third of SRG's loan book.
