Chhattisgarh Gets First Train Since Independence With New Rail Line

Indian Railways has connected Rowghat in Chhattisgarh to the national network for the first time since Independence, completing the 95-km Dalli-Rajhara–Rowghat broad-gauge railway line at a cost of ₹1,628 crore. Two new passenger train services, Rowghat–Raipur and Raipur–Kurud, were launched, improving connectivity for residents in remote southern areas. This development is expected to enhance access to essential services, economic opportunities, and facilitate the transportation of iron ore from the region, supporting industrial growth and employment.

भारतीय रेलवे ने छत्तीसगढ़ के रोहघाट को आजादी के बाद पहली बार राष्ट्रीय नेटवर्क से जोड़ा है, 95 किलोमीटर लंबी डल्ली-राजहरा–रोहघाट ब्रॉड-गेज रेलवे लाइन को ₹1,628 करोड़ की लागत से पूरा किया है। दो नई यात्री ट्रेन सेवाएं, रोहघाट–रायपुर और रायपुर–कुरुद, शुरू की गईं, जिससे दूरदराज के दक्षिणी इलाकों के निवासियों के लिए कनेक्टिविटी बेहतर हुई है। इस विकास से आवश्यक सेवाओं, आर्थिक अवसरों तक पहुंच बढ़ने और क्षेत्र से लौह अयस्क के परिवहन को सुविधाजनक बनाने की उम्मीद है, जिससे औद्योगिक विकास और रोजगार को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
