Fifteen men have been sentenced to a total of 220 years in prison for their involvement in the 2019 Easter bombings in Sri Lanka, which tragically claimed the lives of 260 people. A three-judge bench convicted 14 of the accused on multiple charges, including murder, conspiracy to commit terrorism, and illegal possession of firearms and explosives. These convictions were made under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, highlighting the severity of the charges.
