Bangladeshi Woman Held For Illegal Stay In Kannur

Kannur Town police arrested a 29-year-old Bangladeshi woman, Salina Akter, for allegedly staying and working in India without valid travel documents. She was apprehended at a spa near the Kannur railway station after arriving in Kerala on July 31. Akter could not produce a passport or visa and admitted to not possessing the required documents for her stay. A case has been registered under the Immigration and Foreigners Act.

कन्नूर टाउन पुलिस ने 29 साल की बांग्लादेशी महिला, सलीना अख्तर को गिरफ्तार किया है। उस पर बिना वैध यात्रा दस्तावेजों के भारत में रहने और काम करने का आरोप है। उसे 31 जुलाई को केरल आने के बाद कन्नूर रेलवे स्टेशन के पास एक स्पा से पकड़ा गया। अख्तर के पास पासपोर्ट या वीजा नहीं था और उसने स्वीकार किया कि उसके पास रहने के लिए जरूरी कागजात नहीं हैं। इमिग्रेशन और फॉरेनर्स एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है।
