Hindustan Times · business

Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan has been accused of using company money for private jet trips and rent, according to a Bloomberg report. The allegations surfaced when venture capital firm Founders Fund considered investing in the prediction-market startup. Founders Fund reportedly insisted that Coplan repay the funds and clean up the company's finances before proceeding with the investment. Coplan has since repaid the money, and Polymarket secured a $1.2 billion valuation. A spokesperson stated the flights were for business, and Coplan proactively disclosed expenses.
