The Hindu · india

A 17-year-old student from Thiruvananthapuram, Rudresh S.R., has given six individuals a new chance at life through organ donation following his death from a road accident. His parents generously consented to donate his organs, including both kidneys, pancreas, liver, and corneas. While his heart was found unsuitable for transplant, the other organs were successfully harvested. These organs were allocated to patients suffering from end-stage renal failure, multi-organ failure, and other conditions at hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram. The Kerala State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation coordinated the donation process.
