Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Leader of Opposition in Haryana, stated that the Congress and INDIA bloc will continue their protest until Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resigns. He alleged "authoritarian tactics" by the BJP to suppress opposition against alleged "vote theft" during the 2024 Haryana assembly elections. Hooda cited discrepancies in voter turnout figures and EVM battery charges as reasons for suspicion. The Congress plans to intensify its campaign and take the issue to the public, asserting that FIRs and police action will not deter them.
