शुक्रवार को विशाखापत्तनम में CPI(M) और CPI सहित वाम दलों ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त (CEC) ज्ञान प्रकाश कुमार को हटाने की मांग करते हुए विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। कार्यकर्ताओं ने 2023 के चुनाव कानून संशोधन का हवाला देते हुए भाजपा और आरएसएस पर विपक्ष के वोटों को हटाने की साजिश रचने का आरोप लगाया। विरोध प्रदर्शनों में रैलियां और सीईसी के पुतले जलाने की घटनाएं शामिल थीं। दलों ने दावा किया कि देश भर में लगभग 13 करोड़ वोट और आंध्र प्रदेश में 50,000 वोट हटा दिए गए थे। उन्होंने 10 अक्टूबर को राष्ट्रव्यापी प्रदर्शनों का आह्वान किया और सीईसी के आचरण की न्यायिक जांच की मांग की।
