UP Voter List Errors: District Magistrates Now Accountable For Lapses

Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa has issued strict directives to ensure the integrity of voter lists, holding District Magistrates (DMs) accountable for any negligence. Officials are forbidden from sharing login IDs, passwords, or OTPs with anyone, with DMs now required to personally monitor electoral roll activities daily. This move comes amid allegations of voter list manipulation by the Samajwadi Party. The directives mandate daily review of pending applications, inactive users, and incomplete profiles, with DMs facing accountability for any lapses found in their districts.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी नवदीप रिणवा ने मतदाता सूचियों की शुचिता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सख्त निर्देश जारी किए हैं, जिसमें किसी भी तरह की लापरवाही के लिए जिलाधिकारियों (डीएम) को जवाबदेह ठहराया जाएगा। अधिकारियों को किसी के साथ भी लॉगिन आईडी, पासवर्ड या ओटीपी साझा करने से मना किया गया है, और अब डीएम को प्रतिदिन चुनावी रोल की गतिविधियों की व्यक्तिगत रूप से निगरानी करनी होगी। यह कदम समाजवादी पार्टी द्वारा मतदाता सूची में हेरफेर के आरोपों के बीच उठाया गया है। निर्देशों में लंबित आवेदनों, निष्क्रिय उपयोगकर्ताओं और अधूरी प्रोफाइल की दैनिक समीक्षा अनिवार्य है, और अपने जिलों में पाई जाने वाली किसी भी चूक के लिए डीएम को जवाबदेह ठहराया जाएगा।
