प्रमुख कार्यकर्ताओं योगेंद्र यादव और प्रशांत भूषण सहित करीब 200 प्रदर्शनकारियों को मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन करने पर जंतर मंतर पर हिरासत में लिया गया। नई दिल्ली जिले में निषेधाज्ञा लागू होने के बावजूद यह हिरासत हुई। पुलिस ने आदेशों की अवहेलना और लोक सेवकों को बाधित करने से संबंधित प्रावधानों के तहत मामले दर्ज किए। यह शुक्रवार के विरोध प्रदर्शनों के बाद हुआ, जिसमें लगभग 1,000 लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया था। प्रदर्शनकारी चुनावी रोल संशोधनों में कथित अनियमितताओं को लेकर सीईसी ज्ञानेंद्र कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग कर रहे हैं।
