ED Questions Ludhiana Police Chief for Over 4 Hours in Fake Video Report Case

Ludhiana Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for over four hours in Chandigarh. The questioning is related to an alleged fabrication of forensic and cyber analysis reports concerning a controversial video. A complaint alleged that two senior Punjab Police officers pressured a forensic expert to create reports supporting claims that the video was fake or AI-generated. The ED's inquiry stems from an FIR registered by Gurgaon police following this complaint. The allegations are currently under investigation.

चंडीगढ़ में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) ने लुधियाना के पुलिस कमिश्नर स्वपन शर्मा से चार घंटे से ज़्यादा समय तक पूछताछ की। यह पूछताछ एक विवादित वीडियो से जुड़ी फोरेंसिक और साइबर विश्लेषण रिपोर्टों की कथित मनगढ़ंत कहानी से संबंधित है। एक शिकायत में आरोप लगाया गया था कि पंजाब पुलिस के दो वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने एक फोरेंसिक विशेषज्ञ पर वीडियो को नकली या AI-जनित बताने वाले दावों का समर्थन करने वाली रिपोर्ट बनाने का दबाव डाला। ED की यह जांच इसी शिकायत के बाद गुरुग्राम पुलिस द्वारा दर्ज की गई FIR से उपजी है। ये आरोप फिलहाल जांच के दायरे में हैं।
