The rescued children included child labourers and those selling items or begging on the streets. Officials noted a decrease in such incidents compared to previous years due to increased awareness. Children from northern Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan were among those found engaged in these activities, with some families voluntarily placing their children in care for safety.

मैसूर दशहरा उत्सव के दौरान बाल कल्याण समिति और जिला बाल संरक्षण इकाई की टीमों ने 20 नाबालिग बच्चों को बचाया। बचाए गए बच्चों में बाल मजदूर और सड़कों पर सामान बेचने या भीख मांगने वाले बच्चे शामिल थे। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि जागरूकता बढ़ने के कारण पिछले वर्षों की तुलना में ऐसी घटनाओं में कमी आई है। उत्तरी कर्नाटक, उत्तर प्रदेश और राजस्थान के बच्चे इन गतिविधियों में लगे पाए गए, और कुछ परिवारों ने सुरक्षा के लिए स्वेच्छा से अपने बच्चों को देखभाल में रखा था।
