UPSC Civil Services aspirants are struggling with exam preparation due to the lack of detailed marks disclosure for selected candidates in the Main examination. Since 2018, the break-up of marks for each General Studies paper, optional subject, and the personality test has not been publicly shared. This prevents candidates from tracking performance trends and making informed choices for future attempts. The Central Information Commission has urged UPSC to restore the practice, noting the Department of Personnel and Training has no record of the decision to discontinue it.
