Foreign Investors Pull Out Rs 44,166 Crore From Indian Equities in October
Times of India · stocks
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have withdrawn Rs 44,166 crore from Indian equities in October, bringing total outflows this year to over Rs 3 lakh crore. This significant withdrawal is attributed to elevated crude oil prices, a stronger US dollar, and higher US bond yields, which are impacting investor sentiment. The outflows in October follow a Rs 35,861 crore withdrawal in September. This year's FPI withdrawals from Indian equities have surpassed Rs 3 lakh crore, considerably higher than the Rs 1.7 lakh crore recorded in the entire previous year.
