An Indian-origin laboratory owner, Khadeer Khan Mohammed, is wanted by US authorities for an alleged $93 million Medicare fraud scheme. He is accused of submitting fraudulent claims for genetic testing through his Texas-based lab, American Premier Labs LLC. Authorities claim the scheme involved tests not eligible for reimbursement, not ordered by doctors, and not used in patient care. Medicare reportedly paid at least $65 million on these fraudulent claims.
