Gurugram Property Scams: 25,000 Registrations Used Single PAN

An Income Tax Department survey in Gurugram's Badshahpur tehsil uncovered significant discrepancies in property registration records. Approximately 25,000 property registrations over the past two years reportedly used a single PAN number, involving transactions worth around ₹55,000 crore. Officials are investigating around 15,000 crore in transactions for which information was not received. While there's no national limit on purchasing residential or commercial property, land ceiling laws exist for agricultural land to prevent hoarding and redistribute excess land to landless farmers.

गुरुग्राम के बादशाहपुर तहसील में आयकर विभाग के सर्वे में प्रॉपर्टी रजिस्ट्रेशन रिकॉर्ड में बड़ी गड़बड़ी सामने आई है। पिछले दो सालों में करीब 25,000 प्रॉपर्टी रजिस्ट्रेशन में एक ही पैन नंबर का इस्तेमाल किया गया, जिसमें लगभग ₹55,000 करोड़ का लेन-देन हुआ। अधिकारी करीब 15,000 करोड़ के उन लेन-देन की जांच कर रहे हैं, जिनके बारे में जानकारी नहीं मिली है। हालांकि, आवासीय या व्यावसायिक प्रॉपर्टी खरीदने की कोई राष्ट्रीय सीमा नहीं है, लेकिन कृषि भूमि के लिए भूमि हदबंदी कानून हैं ताकि जमाखोरी को रोका जा सके और अतिरिक्त भूमि भूमिहीन किसानों को बांटी जा सके।
