Hurricanes Begin Season Raising Championship Banner

The Carolina Hurricanes will raise their Stanley Cup championship banner to begin the 2026-27 NHL season. They defeated Las Vegas in the finals last June and aim for a repeat with most of their lineup returning. Goaltender Brandon Bussi, who stepped up during the finals, will be the starter this season. The season opener features brothers Brady and Matthew Tkachuk playing together for the first time for Florida against the Hurricanes in Raleigh, North Carolina.
